-
- Do you have a harddrive, it will make running some of the games much easier.
-
- Shareware:
-
- AmigaTration: A memory game like "Concentration". It has very small pics
- but my 3 yr old plays without problems using a mouse. For 1 or 2 players.
-
- Elevators: Simple game like "Shoots and Ladders". Easy for kids using a
- joystick button to roll the dice. Great sound Effects and color game board.
- We have a problem seeing the lowest row of spaces on the gameboard but it is
- still a great game. We just got this so I haven't sent in any $ to the
- author who is in the Australia (I guess it is in PAL mode?) Aminet.
-
- Sorry! The computer will show you all of the possible moves or you can
- count them out yourself. You can play against the computer. Assassins Game
- CDROM.
-
- ReadyRobot Software Club: 3 or 4 games/Demos on Aminet.
-
- BCS: BCS ("Bonhommes Construction Set") is designed for children aged 3-4
- years. The purpose is to recreate a "bonhomme" shown on the screen with 6
- buttons. Speaks in French (just a few words). Easy. Click on buttons to
- match the correct legs to the correct body and the correct head.
- PostcardWare (We got a nice postcard back). Aminet.
-
- ABC.lha: Aminet. Talks. Point and click on the alphabet.
-
- Commercial Software:
-
- DPaint IV playing with a large font.
-
- Mickey's ABC's: Talks! Great Game. Press letters on the keyboard and
- Mickey does someting in his house. He also walks over to the FunFair and
- does another set of actions.
-
- Mickey's 123's: Talks! Great Game. Press the number keys. Send invitations
- to a Birthday Party. Shop for items in the grocery store. Make a toy for a
- party present in the toy factory.
-
- Amy Fun23: Talks! Great Game. Mouse control. Number recognition.
- Counting. Music section, play tunes by number. 4 games in one. Demo on
- Aminet.
-
- Noddy's Big Adventure: Large game on 4 disks. Made for 3-5 yrs old, easy
- to use and a new favorite. Also great for potty training as in, "You can't
- play Noddy if you don't go on the potty". Teaches color (or colour)
- matching, shapes, spelling, etc. All the games and locations are linked by
- an easy arrow key controlled driving screen. About $25-30 after conversion
- from pounds. Well worth it. It has three difficulty levels for each of the
- eight integrated games. It also has 4 locations for pointing and clicking
- on objects with funny results. I called England direct, ordered with a
- credit card and had the game in one week. It boots off of a floppy and I
- think it will run it one meg.
-
- McGee; McGee at the FunFair; and Katies Farm: All Talking. Very easy
- point and click exploration "games". Good for two and up. Simply click on
- a small picture of 4 on the bottom of the screen and you go to that
- location. Katie's Farm is the best and the newest and should run on your
- system. Read .marketplace and buy these used $5-$10. One of these is
- probably enough.
-
-
- There are also lots of others listed in English Amiga Mags including a
- Thomas the Tank Engine Collection for 13 pounds (I may get this next). Most
- of the UK programs run on unexpanded A500's. I have an A2000 with 1 meg
- chip plus 4 megs expansion.
-
- Amiga Format, Amiga Shopper and CU Amiga have a lot of adds. They also come
- with 2 cover disks so they are a little expensive. Also search aminet using
- kid, child or education. Here are some:

- I also use Mickey Mouse as a pointer (from Aminet). The file I got it from
- also has some R-rated pointers.
